Spanish Horse
The Spanish Horse was actually a large sharp wedge shaped wooden device upon which a woman was forced to struggle, one leg on each side. Usually the witch's weight was enough to cause great pain and discomfort, especially at her cunt. If the witch still did not confess her sins, some stone weights were suspended to her legs to increase the effect.

This method was simple but effective in causing incredible pain. The witch was being suspended over a pulley with her arms tied behind her back. To enhance the effect, heavy weights were sometimes hung to the woman´s feet to cause more strain on her arms and shoulders.

This kind of torture chair was developed especially for the long-time interrogation of witches. More than 2000 sharp bolts pierced into the naked body of the woman who had to sit on the chair for hours and sometimes even days! If this was not enough, the seat could be heated by red-hot coals beneath. The witch chair which is used in our videos is an exact copy of the "Heckersche Stuhl"

This torture device is a variation which was not used for executions, but to hold and choke a witch during interrogation. The victim was locked in position absolutely helpless, so the torturers could use other devices like pincers or a branding iron without being disturbed.

This method does not need much description. The torturers used red-hot pincers or poker to burn the flesh of the victim. They burnt the tits and nipples of those women who were accused for witchcraft or adultery.

These instruments were small, cheap but effective. Thumb screws often have been used as the first degree of torture and most of the accused women did confess just after a couple of minutes - crushing the thumbs or other fingers is extremely painful. Bigger screws were used to bruise the victims tits, also heavy pincers.

Lying on the torture rack the naked witch was bound in each case at the arms and legs. Then she was tightened slowly by the torturers work, until her joints were stretched, causing extreme pain. Then the witch has to anwer to all the questions they ask. If her answers seemed to be not enough, they used fire or needles to force her confession. Also, when the witch´s legs were spread apart, the vaginal pear was used to open her cunt.
